Stormy Castle can genuinely claim the tab of “location” with distinction offering panoramic views of Rhossili Bay, Broughton Bay, Rhossili Down, the surrounding countryside and Llangennith village from an elevated position. Exit the house directly onto Rhossili Down and head straight along the footpath to the beach (10 minutes walk to Rhossili Bay – a wide 3 mile long sand beach) with kite, surf board or windsurfer under the arm, or wander the hillside as aimlessly as you wish. At the end of the day, enjoy a barbeque whilst watching the sunset or drain a pint at the Kings Head, which is just a short walk across the fields following the public footpath.
Stormy Castle has a large kitchen dining room with plenty of room to seat everyone. It has a sitting room with inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove and a library with adjoining conservatory with quite spectacular views. Four bedrooms in the main house sleep 9 (two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and room with a bunk and single bed) and a separate annex housing two additional bedrooms (one double bedroom and one room with bunk and single bed) and ensuite shower room sleeps a further 5.
This is very much a family home (we have 4 kids 5yrs and under) so the house is functional and comfortable. Stormy Castle has a fully equipped kitchen catering for all needs, washing machine and dryer, satellite television, broadband, DVD player and a hi-fi system with CD player (please bring your own disks). We provide all linen as well as kitchen, bath and some beach towels (but suggest you top up with some of your own beach towels). Utilities are included and Tesco will deliver to the doorstep, so put in your order online and begin your holiday fully stocked for your week’s needs.
Stormy Castle is ideal for families or a group of surfers, walkers, cyclists, golfers, pilots, anglers, horse riders, artists - you name it - or simply a gathering of old friends looking for some peace and tranquility.
Try it . . . there is nothing quite like falling to sleep to the sound of silence, broken only by surf breaking on the beach below.
